• How can I cancel or adjust my monthly donation?

If you would like to cancel your monthly donation or update your payment information, please log into our payment processing portal (click here). You will need to login with the email address that is listed on your KPFA account. At this time, you cannot increase or decrease a donation amount online. This can only be done by contacting the Membership Department directly – (510)848-6767 ext 265 or members@staging.kpfa.org. You can also contact the Membership Department directly if you need help canceling your monthly donation or updating your payment information.

• I selected a thank-you gift during the last fund drive. When will it be delivered?

We ask donors to give us 6 – 8 weeks after each fund drive is over for thank-you gifts to ship. We are a very small team working diligently to order, package, and ship gifts as quickly as possible.

• I am having trouble making a donation through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), Donor Advised Fund (DAF), or employee match. What can I do?

If you encounter any issues when attempting to donate with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), Donor Advised Fund (DAF), or employee match, please contact the Membership Department directly and we can assist: (510)848-6767 ext 265 or members@staging.kpfa.org.

• How do I donate anonymously?

  • I don’t want my name to be mentioned on the air:
    
    Your name will NOT be mentioned on the air or in KPFA social media, UNLESS you give us permission to mention your name. By default your donation will appear as anonymous for the radio hosts, unless you select the check box below the “Comments” section specifying that you would like your first name to be mentioned.

  • I don’t want to give my personal details online:

    Sharing payment details while making a donation online is unfortunately unavoidable as all payment processing companies needs your payment details to be able to transfer your donation from your bank account. However there are a few ways that you could make a donation to KPFA without sharing your personal details:

    • We accept cash and money order donations – since these methods don’t require your personal details to be processed, this would be the most certain way to remain anonymous.
    • Alternatively, you can call our Membership department at (510)848-6767 ext 265 and we would be able to assist you with making a donation without creating a donor account with us. Your donation would still require a card and will be processed online by our payment processing company, Stripe.
    • Please note that if you’re making a donation without disclosing your address, we will NOT be able to send you a tax letter at the end of the year with the summary of your donations. Additionally, if you’re not sharing your email, you would NOT receive a receipt for your donation.
      
      We appreciate any method of donation that you choose to keep KPFA on the air!
